Tips where I can not free range

I have 4 Barred Rocks and 2 RIR and I can't let them free range due to city ordinance. My coup is 4x4 top roosting area as well as a 4x4 lower area and 2-6' runs. One on each side. Is this enough room for them? It is not mobile. I am adding a run that I can let them get fresh grass and new area and close one area off at a time to regrow. Any suggestions?

i grow pallets of grass for my girls, as I cannot risk them free ranging d/t predators, and they have picked their run clean of everything living.

What do you mean by "pallets"?

I just went to Home Depot and they gave me two small ones they were throwing away.

whats the best type of grass seeds to plant for the birds, winter wheat, rhy, fescue. clover. any tips are appreaciated. also great idea. thanks
