Is anyone currently raising chickens in Titusville? We live in a subdivision in the city. I have read conflicting things about local laws and ordinances. We would love to have a couple chickens, but I couldn't bear having to give them up. I want to know for sure before we get started.

I am not a lawyer but my understanding is that it is o.k. to have hens with in the city limits. No roosters or chickens. Permit is required. I am looking into doing the same thing. So if you have found out please let me know.

Brevard County says yes Titusville says no. I'm not sure who out ranks who in this situation but thanks to a courteous neighbor I received a notice telling me that my chickens had to go.
We have had them over a year now with no issues. They are well kept and we have a 6ft privacy fence on a .43 acre lot. If anyone knows different please let me know because according to the notice we have 20 days to comply.
