TMI........Poopy Buns on a 3 day old chick?

I have a little guy who has poop stuck to his butt (kinda yellowish....I know....TMI). The chick seems to be okay, but, I've heard that the "poopy buns" can mean the chick is sick (as opposed to my original thought that maybe the chick just had poop on its butt....huh....go figure). Anyone know if this is normal or a bad sign?

It can be a problem if it covers the vent and they can't poop. A little warm water and some gentle cleaning will get it off. Just dry the little one afterwards. A little olive oil rubbed on their behind will keep it from sticking. I have heard ACV in the water, or plain yogurt can get rid of the problem. It's a fairly common problem, not too serious in itself.

Thank you! I cleaned the little guy up a little and the chick is still scampering around with its siblings.
