To all the people who sent me eggs...!

I wanted to tell everyone that I bought eggs from that my hatches are almost finished. Despite my mistakes, I had a wonderful hatch of over 14 chicks (they are still hatching)! I know that doesn't seem like much... but when you made as many mistakes as I did (humidity, temperature, candling etc)... that is quite a good number.

The chicks are all doing well! They mostly seem to be Ameraucanas but there are a few mystery chicks too. Some may be EE's. I think a few are Araucanas.

I can't wait to try my hand at my next hatch. I know that it will be wonderful!

By the way, I might sound dumb but what is the difference between Ameraucanas, EE's, and Araucanas? I thought at least Ameraucanas and Araucanas were about the same breed.

Actually, there is quite of bit of difference as Araucanas and Ameraucanas are breeds and EE's are mutts. However, I am not the one to highlight these differences as I don't know all the details. There was a great thread awhile back about just this topic. Do a search and I bet you find it.
