To brood or not

I've got a oeg batam hen that layed her12th egg in 20 days. I removed the first 4 eggs and put in a incy (none fertile), then I started leaving them in her nest to let her do all the work. After she had 7 in her nest she started sitting on them from noon to morning. I let her and the rooster out at about 6:30 this morning and the hen came out with the rooster. In about a hour or so she when back in the house and started sitting on them again. I went out at 1:30 pm and she was off the nest. I saw that she had laid another egg. Question is how many eggs will she sit on and is this normal for a 9 month old hen (age is appox.). I'm new at this and any help will be welcome

I have been raising OEGB's for 2 years now and never had one go broody. So if you got one brooding...woohoo!

The biggest nest that I have ever had was with Jap Blk Tails, between the 2 hens, they laid and sat on 18 eggs. It was quite a pile!
