to clip or not to clip is the question

I,m just asking as I,m worried about them flying of when opening the pen

It really depends on your set up and personal preferences. If you are worried about them flying out or possibly injuring themselves, as long as you clip them properly, there is no harm done.

I'm fairly new at this, my first birds are almost 5 weeks old,
but they haven't flown over our fence.
That might just be my quails though, so don't take my word
completely!
