The following are my 2 week old barred rock pullets. But as you will see, ALREADY, they are remarkably different. Tell me what you think.

Some are hard to tell with the blurriness.
But here are my guesses...

Thanks, I know- for some reason our camera has decided to suddenly suck! I was afraid that all three welsummers were roos but I was crossing my fingers.

And I didn't want a barred rock roo- oh well. Anyone need a roo?

Ok, here are my guesses. I looked up some Welsummers on Google Image after I got off the phone with you and I'm comparing yours to them.

#1 possible roo, but not a whole lot of red in the comb, just on the face so I'm not sure.
#2 pretty sure its a roo.

#3 pullet! Pretty sure of that!
#4 pullet

I'm not good at the cochins and polish yet either, so I'll let someone else venture a guess on them.

ther ssh is most definitely a girl! Our SSH are now 6 weekers also and our rooster has had a very red and developing comb for at least the last month.

Ok Barb. Here are pics of mine for comparison. (For those of you who dont know, we have the same breeds of chicks, from the same hatchery, that are the same age because we got them at the same time!

) So, comparing mine to yours should help you. I am certain of the sexes on my Welsummers, so I'll start with those...

And in comparing my GLW to yours, I think yours is a roo. Here's a pic of mine, who I believe is a pullet...

And here's my SSH which I think is also a pullet...

Here's my Lakenvelder to compare to yours. I am still unsure of the sex on this one. Was leaning towards roo, but yours also has the comb and redness, so I'm not sure now.

Lakenvelder ?
