To hang waterer/feeder?

Our girls are 5 weeks old and are still using the small feeder and waterer we had when they were little bitty. What are the advantages of hanging their waterer/feeder aside from making it harder for them to mess in it? Is one better to hang than the other? We have an A frame tractor. Thanks.

mess is the usually reason...on a waterer you don't have to worry about finding a level place to put it...it will hang level

I hang all the feeders and waterers in my tractors for the reasons above - easier to keep clean, always level, and I don't have to take them out to move the tractors. Everything moves all at the same time.

Hanging hasn't been an option for me, so I got creative and elevated their feed and water dishes to keep them clean. Eventually I switched their waterer to a bucket. They can't kick anything into it and its super easy to clean. I wouldn't recommend the bucket idea until they are full grown. It would be a shame to have a little one loose its balance and fall in.
