It could be the weather, we have been very cold here in Minnesota, with temps well below freezing up till now, we are getting near 30...been a really long winter.

I know when I called them about my order, they were very pleasant to deal with, and were willing to hold my order. They should be shipping them out this Saturday. I only have to get chick starter now.

So sorry about those losing their chicks - I ordered from MMH - rec 14 Nov - 25 bantam cochins and rec 27 - one free rare chick, one died of spraddle leg - the others are just fine. Mine were like rubber balls of fluff when I got them - jumping everywhere. The one developed the spraddle leg at about one week of age - I believe it injured itself - they were on a terry cloth towel - so slippage was not a problem. Very healthy chicks.
