Tonight is technically the beginning of "day 23"...nothing yet.

Should I be concerned?

Worried as we did have a power outage and the eggs were down to 80 for a couple of hours on and off (we used a generator that we know would not last the whole night to at least heat them a bit...on and off through the night) *the outage was early last week.

Other than that, I think we did it all correctly.

What should the bulb temp be right now? (we have sponges wet and some water, about 70% humidity)....help!

Give them time. The power failure may have slowed them down.

If I remember correctly the Bobs I hatched took around 24 or 25 days.
It's been a while.

Bob's vary a lot in incubation time.

thanks guys; we have the brooder ready just in case (warming up)...

I know I am going to sound stupid but - what does "pip" mean?? Is this something I should be looking for?

Quote:
A pip is a little hole in the shell the chick makes with it's beak. Usually
they will pip a few times then hatch.

You don't sound stupid. It's a valid question.
