Today is Great!!!!!

We have just got our first two eggs, YAY!!!!!! They laid them between 8:30 AM AND 2:00 PM this afternoon. Is this normal or will the get on some sort of predictable schedule??

That's awesome, congrats! Hens start laying sporadically usually, so they may not lay another egg for you for 2-3 days. After that, once the worked the kinks out of their systems, they will lay more regularly. Most hens lay in the mornings to early afternoon.

I got my first egg about 12 years ago... I was so exited, I screamed for my (now ex) husband and he came running, thinking something's wrong! lol It's a special moment, especially when you raised the hen from a chick!

Gosh, that's where I started... 3 hens, neighbours and everyone wanting eggs... Before I knew it I have over 100 chickens and still not enough eggs for everyone!

Wow don't see me getting that big. Just want to supply family and friends. Will charge just enough to keep in feed and treats(meal worms).
