Today Is Puff's Birthday!!!

Puff the Magic Dragon has just turned 13! She is a gorgeous partridge silkie and an old one too! lol.

Yes I do! She's like a grandma to me lol. She has seen and been through so much. She got attacked by a dog when 11 after she adopted chicks even though she wasn't broody. And a two by four fell on her when she was raising those chicks. and when she was 10 a 100 pound nest box came loose and fell ontop of her. All of the other chickens died sadly... but she made it. Now she is just retired and is VERY cranky. lol.

Wow she has dodged death a few times. We used to have a old RIR hen that dodged death a few times too. She lived to be 10. She liked sleeping on our tractor in the barn instead of in the coop with the other birds. It's not often you see one make it to 13 though, that's really impressive!
