Came in from service this day and look what I came home to:

It would be it would be so cool to know exactly which girls are laying. Definitely my gals hatched from last June I am thinking our top suspects. Namely my buff orpingtons. But that dark brown egg- you see I also have some assorted Marans; but I don't know which ones they are.

Might be nice to candle them for the fun of it.
 
Wow! Nice! What type laid the white one,? Its almost like a Bobwhite Quail egg!
I have NO clue who is laying :idunno amongst my girls. For what it is worth the first and second batch hatches we received are:

Easter Eggers, Buff orpingtons (hatched June 29

Welsummers, Assorted Marans, Dixie Rainbow (hatched 8/3/2022)

We do have a brood 3 of dark brahmas and naked necks; but I do NOT think they are laying . . . yet. They are approx. 19 weeks old.

Okay! We're in that situation with our quails! The coturnix actually lay different sorts of eggs! The Golden Manchurian coturnix's eggs are slightly I think they call them "moonrock".
