Hi to all,
Well, today is day 37, and baby is still alive and trying so hard to internally pip. He’s pecking in the same spot like crazy!
I’m very worried that he hasn’t pipped yet and the air sac is very saddled.
These are much better pictures. He is pecking at the low, triangular shaped spot.
I have a great video of what’s going on, but no matter what I do I can’t upload it!
I’d love for you to see it and get your feedback on what’s happening.
If someone could help me with this I’d really appreciate it. I have uploaded them to Facebook and TikTok but cannot get them uploaded here.
Anyway, please look at today’s pictures. As he should have pipped by now.
Muscovy eggs hatch between 34-38 days, and my little one hasn’t even internally pipped yet!!!
We are so invested in this little one and I literally check every hour throughout the night to make sure everything is as it should be.
This is the only surviving egg so far, as I have staggered ages in my incubator.
My girl has been laying since January 23rd!!!
Thank you in advance for any help you could offer.
Blessings,
Amy
