Toe Nail Clipping!

The toe nails on my Isa pullets look long to me but then again I'm new at this so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to clip them back or not and if so what do I use to do that and will the chicken tolerate it?

How long is too long and will all their scratching around just keep them filed down? Thanks!

Don't file them or clipping - they are meant to wear down from scratching.

I have a question on this topic. I have a polish with very long spurs. The woman I got it from said she clipped them but when she gave her to me she had just clipped them and one was bleeding a lot. I got it stopped when I got her home with stiptic powder (spelling) but they are getting long again and she is one of the top two in the pecking order and leaps on top of my other chickens. I am scared she will cut one of them with those spurs. What do you do with them?
