We came home from an overnight vacation and our 5 month old serama hen is toe touching on her left foot. I don’t see any obvious signs of injury or breaks and it’s not dangling. She does seem to be trying to put weight on it a little but it’s almost as if her toes aren’t quite right all of a sudden. Ill
Post pics of her foot. I can’t figure out how to post a video? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

@smvettechmom It looks like she sprained toes and/or the ankle joint. She’s moving her leg well. I’d assume she would avoid using the whole leg if the injury was higher. She may have freaked-out a little with you away, preventing her from carrying on her usual routine. I’m assuming you keep her alone. She looks fine, aside from the limping. It must feel very tender, so quiet and rest will benefit her while the sprain heals. I agree with @The Chickens' Maid about soaking the foot. Warm water and epsom salt to help relieve pain and swelling. She’s adorable. ❤️

Thank you. That’s what I was hoping. I gave her some pain meds and separated her from the rest of the flock for the time being.
