Hello all, this is my first time posting at BYC. I noticed today that one of 7 week old wyandottes has a broken toenail. I cleaned it the best I could with a wet paper towel and put cornstarch on it. Is there anything else I need to do? Does she need to be seperated from the others? She seems to be getting along ok now. Thank you for the help!

As long as none of the other birds are pecking at it I’d say just leave it and she should be fine:) it happens to my birds quite often and there’s never an issue. Maybe trim her other nails as they could be a bit long causing them to get caught and break? I can’t see the quick too well so I don’t know if there’s room to trim.
