Our turkeys are on a pasture with sheep. The tom and it seems only the tom has very wet, dark stool. Any concerns I should have?
My theory is it's because he's an idiot. I keep free choice turkey feed in another part of the barn on the other side of a 4' dividing wall and gate. I have to keep the feed over there so the sheep don't eat it. Even though he is physically capable of clearing the 4' wall because he jumps up there to roost every night he can't figure out during the day that he can do it to go eat. So he gets way less feed than everyone else. He only gets feed because he does know how the gate works so I will open the gate and he will walk out of it to eat. He then complains because he can't get back to the pasture without me opening the gate again.
