Hey y'all! So we bought two turkeys back in April (which makes them about 6 months old) thinking we were getting a mating pair. Turns out we got two toms. It worked out well enough as them seem to get along just fine.
So here's my issue: While they were small enough and we were getting them used to living outside, we kept them in a large dog cage. Just before they got really too big for the cage, one of them (Butterball) started roosting on our porch railing. All well and good, they're off the ground, living outside...success!! However, for the past week or so, Butterball has been coming up and simply laying down right outside our front door. Up until last night, I could herd him out with the ducks on the island and he'd stay put, but now he's coming back to the door... Also, his brother (Jennie-O) has stopped roosting on the rail and has started staying out on the island.
Granted, I'm very much a worry wort when it comes to my pets, but is this considered normal?
