I read about people raving about these tablets and giving them to their chickens. They're originally for pigeons, which on average weigh 200-300g so how do you go about working out the disease for chickens? Tia.

What disease or symptoms are you seeing? These types of pigeon drugs contain 4 in 1 or 3 and 1 drugs that treat multiple diseases, such as canker, MG respiratory disease, and other pigeon diseases. I am not a fan of these, since you don’t want to throw a lot of medicines at a chicken needlessly. There are single medications that treat each disease usually, and if used properly, the bird will not build up a tolerance. I have a link for your product so others may see it.

I understand and agree, but sometimes when a bird isn't well and you can't pinpoint a particular issue these things can be helpful. Do you know what the dose would be?

If you would give us some of the symptoms you are seeing, we may help. How much do your chickens weigh? Most of those ingredients have egg withdrawal times since they are not approved for poultry.

Since the medication which you can see in this link has not amounts of ingredients listed, it would be hard to give you a dosage. The dosage given is for a pigeon, and most regular grown chickens weigh 4-5 pounds.

I don't currently have anyone who is sick I was just wanting to know for future reference. Yes, it doesn't list the amounts anywhere. I was hoping someone who'd used it would know.

If a pigeon weighs 200-300g I'm assuming a 2kg chicken would need at least 6 tablets a day?

Hi, I managed to get the ingredients from the manufacturer:

Actives: 15mg/tab Doxycycline HCl, 3mg/tab Enrofloxacin, 8mg/tab Ronidazole, 1mg/tab Diclazuril

Does this help to determine the dose for a 2kg chicken? Tia.
