Too darned eggcited!!!!!!

I have been looking for some hens, up to a year old, to put in my newly converted rabbit pen and I have just had confirmation that I can go pick up my girls this weekend!!!! I'm so excited, I could pop!

I have 15 CCL eggs in the incubator and now I'll have 'ready mades' as well!

One gold and one blue partridge Brahma, one blue and one black cochin and either two buff Orps or a buff and a spangled (she's not sure if she has a 'spare' spangled at the mo so I'll find out when I get there.

Ooh, ooh, ooh. Saturday will be collection day AND first candling day ....happy chicken lady

Yeah, sorry about that, the post is a bit 'busy' huh?! Lol! But I must say, it is an accurate representation of what's going on in my head and my stomach right now! xx

I candled the eggs this weekend. I have 14 out of 15 growing fabulously and I picked up my new girls this morning. A great weekend indeed

We have...top picture, blue cochin called Rosie, black cochin called Bettie and two buff orps called Maggie and Morag. Then bottom picture, Gold Brahma called Mabel and blue partridge Brahma called Agnes

Aww, thanks, they seem to be enjoying it. I'm certainly loving having chickens back on the homestead And don't worry, there'll be plenty of updates on the eggs and the hatch! xx
