Here are my darlings. I have a crested cream Legbar cockerel and pullet. The other is a Black Maran. They’re coming up to 3 weeks and I’m sure I can start to see the differences. His stance. His little comb is growing. My question is about the tail feathers. I read at the earlier stage the female tails are longer than the males. So if that’s the case the black marans tail is thinner and longer. Oh I know it’s wishful thinking. But any super duper experts have an opinion?
Also how cute are they learning to roost. Our homemade brooder box is from an old cupboard and when it has to be enlarged when they starred to fly out this week it provides a perfect place to learn to fly up to roost. It’s wonderful to see

It's hard to make out but they are all sleeping on the roost. The two I think are pullets are sleeping together. The male Legbar on his own. That's one of the cutest things I've ever seen :love
