The police have driven down my little dead end street twice with floodlights on their cars shining around the neighborhood. I was listening to the scanner again and dispatch has been called two houses up to sounds of someone beating on their window. My cats make it worse with their random bumps in the night and jumping in the windows making it appear someone is staring in and worsening the fright night.

The cats are so getting the bathroom lock up.

I just called my cousin (deputy) and he said it was deemed most likely a feral cat jumping on the railing near her window. He said the woman was just a little paranoid and nervous. Aww me too! I might speak with her tomorrow and get better acquainted with a neighbor that is on the lookout.

You guys are tops though. I am in this big old house by myself with three cats. My housemate is working. My parents live right behind me though. It is amazing the events at this little town reached the UK. I think I'll read a bit more on here and get some sleep upstairs because the doors up there are the old solid oak type. The house is just too large to monitor by one's self.
I swear I'll call someone about installing an alarm system tomorrow.

Kung Foo, I'm way downstate from you- and we are being extra careful about locking doors and windows- DH is back to work today, and I will NOT be answering the door for anyone!

My 3 large dogs are helpful when seen from a distance- if you get close you might get hurt by a wagging tail.......

Stay safe and be extra careful. I'm in Virginia and it scares me. I can't imagine being right in Gaffney. I hope and pray they catch this guy very soon. My prayers are with you all.
