too hot for turkeys?

on my first reading I totally missed the two replies before this that put it into context, and it took me a few seconds to realise that you weren't talking about putting turkeys in the dishwasher!

LOL sorry!

I live in FL. This summer has been brutal with the heat and humidity. There are several things I do that seem to help my turkeys. I set up a fan in the coop area that keeps the air moving. Most of their area is shaded thanks to a big oak tree. I provide cold/frozen watermelon during the hottest part of the day to keep their electrolytes up. Cucumber, banana, etc also seem to help with this. I freeze bottles of water and put them in their water bowls. I take plant trays and put frozen bottles and water in those as well and they and the chickens love standing in them. Finally, I go out every hour or two when it’s really hot and refresh waters and switch out the frozen bottles. That’s all I can think to do but it does seem to help.
