Hi, im a new member, ive started my first coop build (couldn't wait) my Q is:
My run is 4 meters long X 2.5 meters wide so for the coop area ive closed off a 1 meter section and will be inclosing it using sraps of / tin/ boarding underlay/ tinted plastic sheeting (roof) , But my coop uses a steel fence and a shed as the back and sides will it be too hot 4 the hens?? The coop is in the run so the front i was thinking of having just under half that opens up as a large window to help from over heating in summer,
I know poeple use garden sheds etc as coops so will almost be the same thing i guess,
Im looking for ideas, tips, Dos-Donts
Where i live is not hot all yr round but we can have quite a few hot days
Im thinking 5/6 BR so plenty of room
