I have a young broody pullet, tried everything to stop her but no luck. I know it’s winter in the mountains of NC but I just stuck six eggs under her. Am I stupid?

She is in a nest box and seems happy. How does she leave the nest and feed.Yes, but you're in good company. Nest well-shored up?
I'm not sure what you mean. How does she leave the nest and feed.
Hens generally stay off the nest longer in hot weather, and for a shorter time in cold weather. If you have the nest well-insulated, it usually isn't a big problem. Lots of hay/straw is key, so that the eggs sit down inside the hay, and lose heat less quickly. With such cold weather how does she leave the eggs or chicks to feed?
