Too much cool water on lockdown

Here i am at lockdown day 18....added my extra water about 1/2 hour ago(air temp) then realize i didnt warm it So put a couple rags with hot water on them around the eggs.(not touching as the rags are hot) Added a little warm water thru a straw too but not a lot , it was hot... not luke warm. Now imagine my humidity will be too high so added a dry rag on 1/4 of the screen floor.The temp went to 96.8 and now is at 97. but who knows what it it will be with all the opening and adding this and that.

Was thinking about just taking it all out and start over but then they are out of warm temps for even longer as it all will go down lower. having it open again.
Any suggestions?

I've added tap water very often to my 3 incubators, and its ok. You didn't kill the eggs, its takes them awhile to cool off, just like to heat up. That water will be fine w/i an hour or two, and in the meantime your heator will keep things mostly warm enough. It will be ok, I promise. I keep just a gal. jug of water to add to mine, and I never warm it up. I've been hatching for years, and its just a non issue.

Thanks so much .I am so nervous i will kill these eggs.I have ajusted all i can think of from last hatch (lost all) and dont know what to try next if these dont make it.Its day 20 and nothing yet.YIKES!

Marty is right don"t beat yourself up

,it will be fine, if its day 20 you should be hearing, or seeing some hatching progress,unless your hatch date is off

, as mine was one time ,off 2 days, an man it drove me nutss!!!!
