I'm doing a "dry method" hatch. It's my first hatch. They are due on the 2nd. I tried to raise the humidity a little because it was 30 percent. It went to 80 right away! And then I had to work like crazy to stabilize the temp. A lot. I'm so afraid that I hurt them with the large fluctuation. Also, they went through 2 power outages earlier. One, the lowest they went to was 97 for about an hr. Some people said that's ok, because the mom leaves the nest sometimes, and the temp goes down (when a hen is hatching them, as opposed to an incubator). 2nd power outage- I put them is a VERY hot hallway heated with gas heat. They were 98 for 3 hrs. The thing I'm worried about the most I guess is the humidity level going from 30-80. Temp was fluctuating from 97-103 back and forth. I keep reading "fluctuation kills". I'm so nervous!
