I have 60 Cornish X's and two turkey poults in a chicken coop that is built into the corner of an old barn. It measures about 10X10. Inside that I have them in a brooder that is 4X5 (an old Dresser) and the turkeys were in one about 2x2. The turkeys jump out and in with the chicks and now the chicks are able to jump out as well. They are 12 days old today. Is it too soon to take them right out of their brooding boxes and just let them run loose in the coop with the heat lamps still running?
