too young to get off chick starter?

Hi!
Chicks are 5 weeks old (RIR & BR)
I have to buy more feed. i have about a week worth left... are they too young to switch to growth food?

I would go with one more bag. They have to be at least 8 weeks old to be off it, then switch to grower. Some people keep them on starter it until 12-14 weeks.

They stay on Starter/Grower till they lay the first egg after this they switch up to laying pellets/mash.

I'm using a Starter/Grower from TSC...says to use to 10 or 12 weeks.

You can start mixing it with the grower. You don't say how many your feeding but after 6-8 weeks I mix cage crumbles 16% with grower 23% and they seem to be doing great outside eating bugs and grass and garden trash.
