Took the plunge

Well I finally went and did it. I bought a Top Hatch incubator. Once the weather warms a bit I'll start setting aside some of my White Rock eggs and get ready to expand the flock of the white birds.

WOOHOO!!! a new toy!

And just now I realized that my hens will probably be hit with sever cases of broodyitis.

And there's nothing cuter than a broody hen!

But, why wait?? Ge a big cardboard box, put a clamp light over it, put some bedding in it and call it a brooder!

An incubator is a place that you incubate and hatch chicks in. A brooder is a place you put the chicks in once they are all hatched and fluffed out...
