After talking about for a year, I finally went and picked up some poults today. I was actually looking for ginea keets, but they are not hatched yet. I bought 2 bronze and 2 Bourbon Reds. I'm having a little trouble getting them up and going, but am working on it by force feeding some egg yolk and providing vitamins and electrolytes in the water. The two bronze are better, but the reds are still sluggish.

I upgraded the bulb in the heat lamp, as they were crowding a bit. I brought them inside so I didn't have to walk out in the rain to the shed.

I plan on building a tractor for them that I can move around the pasture every couple of days. For now they will reside in the brooder and eat starter. I did grind some up a bit to make it easier to for them to swallow. I'd love for them to take water from a water nipple, but we'll get to that eventually.
