I know this has been asked before, but I'm panicking! We have no idea how this happened. I've read to trim it, leave it alone, and completely remove it. We don't have a vet that will see her, so I need to do something. I'm on my way to the Feedstore for medications.

Do I trim? If so how?
Do I dubb? If so how?
Do I leave it alone, if so what do I do beyond clean and medication??

Thank you so much for your help. I'm attached pics, because on other threads answers seemed tied to the specific event, which is why I'm posting the question.

Yes, she’ll be fine. My hen did the exact same thing and I sprayed it with Vetricyn twice a day and applied neosporin until it healed. Do not cut it off, it will feel just fine. Don’t worry if it looks darker when it heals, mine still has a darker portion in the back of her comb.
BTW mine accomplished this by sticking her head through the chicken wire to get a tasty bug, and ripped her comb half off on the way back in 😢
She’s a beautiful girl BTW
