Torn ear lobe

A few just started laying again in the last few days... and, of course, they all want to use the same nesting box, even though I have three for my 6 girls! I wonder if she's ready to lay again and there was a fight about the box? She seems really healthy, so I'm not sure what to think!

I have 3 nesting boxes for my four girls. Two of my girls prefer to make a nest on the floor of the coop and the other two use the same nesting box...imagine that!

I think I would just treat the wound, make sure it doesn't get infected and let it heal. It's a wait and see if the torn part will dry up/fall off. The piece sticking out, if it draws attention or bothers her can always be cut off if need be.

Hi! I know this is an old thread - what ended up happening? Did it fall off? Just happened to one of my girls!
