My father dropped a table topper and the corner cut open my baby ducklings under belly about three inches long inch maybe more wide. No steady bleeding doesn't appear anything falling out organ or meat wise. But what can I do to close this or assure she don't get sick or infection. It's holiday and emergency vets around here won't see us

I would put her in a emergency “Hospital” like a plastic bin (use paper towels on the bottom) and clean it with peroxide. If you have neosporin that would probably help.Take her to the vet as soon as possible. Please update!

If it is just a skin wound (not deep, nothing prolapsing ou the wound) you can try seeing the skin together with a simple needle and thread or fishing line. If it was small you could use super glue but this is way too long. Don’t go deep. Just pull the skin together, you can use one continuous line or multiple stitches each secured with a knot. This is an emergency, if the skin dries and the underlying tissue dies off the wound will take weeks to close. Obviously someone will have to hold it for you and it will be uncomfortable but you are saving a life. Sutures can come out in a week. If she’s feeling good and acting normal no reason to see a vet. If she’s not eating, lethargic, or the wound is hot, red or seeping pus, she’ll need antibiotics.
