We just set up a store bought chicken tractor (normally we are DIY people but have too many projects going on!). Its big enough for about 7 chickens and we are keeping 4 young ones in it now. The roosting area and nesting boxes are above the ground, but below that is open. My worry is that a predator will dig it's way in at night, as the tractor sits on the ground. Is this likely? What can we put under it that can be portable with the tractor?
Where we live, so far as we know; we have hawks, raccoons, coyotes, and possibly bob-cats (rumor only.)
Any advice would be appreciated!
