I havent been on in a few days. We are setting up for the county fair. Right now I am supposed to do a murral for our 4-H booth. I ran out of black paint so I am waiting for DH to bring me some more. So far my daughter is placing well She took resrve champion on her cross stitch, first on her cake decorating, wood working, and scrap booking:weee. We will have the chickens down there Tuesday, and:fl hopefully her luck will hold out and place well there also. Over all our kids in the club have been placing pretty high in there projects, one of them took Grand champion on their water fowl project. Two resves in two different baking catagories. And a first in sewing.

I dont know if we just have a small enough club that we are able to provide more help to each one of them or if we just have a lot of really talented kids. Maybe its a combination of both. But so far out of 874 kids entered we are doing pretty darn good.

I am really having a hard time keep up with it all, and it's only the second day:th I have been going non stop now for three days, I am the organizational leader for our club so I have pretty much been responsible for every thing going on with all the kids. I am not sure I am going to be able to hold out though you know how when people are tired they say their butts are dragging....Well mine is about 3 miles behind me. Anyway I had a moment and thought I would dropp a quick line and tell ya all whats been up. Wish us all luck on our chickens ( you guys voted for the ones we are going to be showing a montyh ago.) I hope you guys picked the good ones.

Whew...now I am tired as well!! Sounds like you have some VERY Talented kids there. And, well...they must get it from you. Sounds like you are keeping yourself very busy. OK, time for that nap...as suggested earlier! LOL

Well agian today I was at the fair grounds, I managed to get the murral done, and it even looked pretty good. I about killed a kid once I got there though. I couldnt go anymore and hung it up at about 3:00 am. And I slept to long and had to get the finishing touches on it and we thought it needed to be down there before noon, or they wouldnt let us set it up. So we take it down and hall but down there. As soon as we got there we found out we had until 7 tonight to get stuff done. So we slowed down alittle and we brought the murral in In two different pieces and I told my duaghter to watch it while we got the rest of the boards that supports it. When we got back my daughter was no where in sight and there was foot prints down the middle of the board!!

My duaghter seen some one she knew and ran off to talk to the and then someone's bratty kid walked right through the middle. And of coarse the paint was still tacky, so it wasnt like I could just wipe the foot prints off. So I spent another hour and a half trying to fix it. I found the kid that did it, (they had my paint on their shoe. And I talked to them and thier parnets about it. They said they didnt think it was a big deal because I only needed to repaint it. I was so mad when they told me this. I asked them that if it wasnt a "Big Deal", then i guessed it would be alright to screw up their booth as well. I finally went and reported it to the Guy thats in charge of everything. and he told them that they needed to keep off everyone elses stuff or their booth wouldnt get judged and they would no longer be able to show either. I was actually pretty lucky though I used really thin hard board. And it is fimsy stuff. She could have easily broke it , but luckily she walked right down the center which had a support behind it. I spent a good 5 1/2 hours there getting every thing done. Tomarrow I have to help my duaghter get her chickens groomed, and then I have to go and sheer some sheep for two other kids in our club. Tuesday all live stock has to be there and ready for show so yet another busy day:th
