tough membranes

Hi,
I think I know why mine seem to be having more trouble.
Even though I get my humidity up to 70-75% the membranes seen to dry out very fast, if they don't pip and zip and get with it, by the time they "are" zipped the membrans is starting to dry and harden.

Any suggestions for this????
Higher humidity? 80+?
My eggs and myself thank you all very much for any info! suggestions!

By any chance is air blowing on them? If the humidity is at 75, and the fan is on them, they can still dry out and "help" the bator stay at 75%.

I just thought of that and mentioned in another post.
We use 1588's, (they have fans in them) fill all trays in bottom as well.
I haven't heard of anyone else using 1588's and having this trouble, everyone swears by them.
That may be the problem?
How would I go about remedying that? mist them everday starting at day 18?

They are hatching between 18 and day 21. Usually by 22 if they aren't thru, they aren't getting thru on their own. The membrane will be tuff by then. We use the Genesis 1588's.
Fill all water trays in bottom as well.

Maybe because of the fans in the 1588's they dry out faster?
I haven't heard anyone else having this problem and many use, and swear by, the 1588's...?"

Not sure really... But it's a possibility. I use a marsh roll x sometimes and it has a fan right over dead top center. Haven't had any hatching problems in it though. The air flows up into the fan into the center, pulling away from eggs, and blows down out the sides if that makes any sense. Is yours in that same pattern? Or is it blowing down onto the eggs? If they aren't blowing down onto the eggs, something else funky might be going on.
