We've had a big problem with a particular coyote lately. Very distinct animal with a darker than usual coat and a bald spot behind his left ear probably from a near miss, large male. He's killed 2 pets and several livestock in the area in the last couple months including a $15000 thoroughbred colt that had to be put down, the whole townships been after him after the horse owner posted a 1000 dollar reward including a blown up photo of the animal captured by his security camera.
2 days ago, I saw a large coyote working mice in the neighbors hayfield. Snuck inside and got my Swiss K-31 and 3 rounds of ammo. This is the rifle I shoot CMP matches with and I'm very confident in this piece. Caught him just behind the shoulder at 237 paces and ended his marauding days. Was amazed to see this was THE coyote!!!! Now to figure out what to do with the reward!
