So as I'm securing the fence on my new run I notice something that wasn't there two days ago when I first put up the fence. In some soft dirt inside the run I saw this.
I believe it to be a coyote track. Our neighbors had two fawn dismembered behind their barn AC believes it to be coyotes or wolves (but I'm pretty sure we don't have wolves in this area...) and there is rumor of a couple of coyote dens in the woods across the street... We've seen one on our property twice now but apparently they're around more than we see.
It wasn't hard for it to get in, I don't have a door installed yet but that will be coming ASAP. I think when I'm done with that I'll double check the integrity of the coop.
And when I was closing up tonight I found this:
Which I'm hoping is a groundhog, but this forum has made me paranoid about raccoons... Any thoughts as to what it might be?
