Tractor chicken question

We have built a low boxed pen for our chickens. The plans did not have any roosting poles.
What have you done to add a place for your pullets/chickens to roost?
We added a shelf and milk crates for nesting boxes.

How big is your trackor? You might want to add one if you have room for it. You do not want them to roosting in your nest box area.

We use rounded edged 2 x 4s as roosting poles in our tractors. They work well.

Thank you to all of you! My husband added two 2x2's across the box, one close to the nesting boxes, one closer to the end of the roof. We will see how they like them tonight!
Our layer boxes are 8'x8'. My broiler pen is the traditional 10x12.
