Hi I would like to see some designs for an easy chicken tractor that I can move around my property for meaties, I would love to see pics as well.

Thanks

I don't have any concrete info for you but to get the ball rolling I would assume that it would be a fairly small tractor and not too tall. You would want them in a limited amount of space so that they don't have too much running room to keep them a bit on the fatty side. I haven't done any meaties but I plan to this year and it will be a 8' square pen about 2 foot tall to be able to drag it around the yard a bit. I haven't looked up space considerations for meat birds but I want to house at least ten to start with. Hopefully the experienced will chime in.

I marked this page: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=171993&p=1 for myself a few weeks ago

Browse the "Meat Birds Etc" section of this forum and you will find a bunch of very helpful and often well-illustrated threads on the subject. Most people seem to use either a cattle panel style hoop tractor, or a pvc or very light wood framed low rectangular box with a lid that hinges up.

Good luck, have fun,

Pat

That's pretty much what I had visualized for our meaties. I had seen a pic on here a while ago that sparked my interest. If I can find it I'll post it.
