Hey all, I was just in TSC here today in Ticonderoga and noticed there's going to be a swap this weekend. Has anyone ever been to a TSC swap? I tried to find more info but they have hardly advertised it at all. I've never been to a swap before and I'm thinking about going. What should I expect?

Hey all, I am in Elizabethtown, would love to meet anyone active here in the area , Stewarts in ETown is a good place if you are in town., running errands. PM me to get my phone number . . I am currently residing in an apartment, and looking forward to moving in the springtime to a 6+ acre homestead with an old friend , In South Central Nebraska. I was promptly told I will be in charge of chickens, milk goats, and rabbits and gardening. I have been a member of another homesteading site for years, but this fall and winter I am trying to learn what I can about chickens as they are likely the first investment. I am also looking for tips on coop designs , transportation methods and equipment, maybe a nice handy homemade design idea for egg washing station and such. Making up a notebook on chickens and small livestock.

I will be moving in the spring and basically what I pay in rent will be used for materials, livestock and feed and vet supplies and such so we can build up the place. It gets me closer to family living in TX and the western states too. They have an empty but newer 40 x 40 barn too and a tractor to use. Nice home. Most of the 6 acres is open and level. There is plenty of room. The land is cleared except for some shade trees in two spots. Its like an artists blanks canvas, pretty much, when it comes to setting up outbuildings , coops and fenced areas for livestock and I will see about garden and small orchard set up and berries and hazelnut bush area.
