Horses played an important role around the world. From the Andalusian in war zones to the European ones in the Isles of Britain, to the ones in our farms and the equestrian horses in Olympics. All summon our eyes to view these beautiful historical creatures as one of the wonders of the world. Here in Nigeria every year there is a celebration you don't want to miss, horses in costumes. Share the stories and photos of your nationality's horse tradition.

Which of these head beads do you like.

Classic photos I got (not really good cuz of my camera it's 2 mega pixels, but the best I can get)

The king of Bauchi himself

Unusual animals are also welcome, pythons, hyenas, camels etc.

Yes, thank you. I love to learn about traditions from other countries.
It's a pleasure to hear that. In fact the clothing am wearing in my profile pic is a traditional wear worn by the Fulani tribesmen. They are good cattle rearers (that why the stick?cane thing)

Wow what a fantastic celebration! Those horse costumes are really neat!
the closest we have to a horse celebration is the annual Frontier Days cattle drive through town and the parades always have cowboys!
The community college has various degrees related to horses.
I'll get some pictures posted.
