Transporting eggs

What precautions do I take when moving the eggs from the farm to the incubator? This is my first time attempting to incubate/hatch chickens. Please help!

I collect eggs directly into a carton, pointed ends down, regardless of what I'm going to do with them, that way, I run less risk of them taking a hard bump in a basket, or of me dropping one.
