I recently took in two chickens that were a class hatching project at a local school. They are three months old and I am 90% positive that one is a rooster. I would love to keep him but the whole reason for taking on the chickens was to have free range eggs that came from happy chickens. Our rooster is happy but I doubt that he will be giving us any eggs.
I was going to drive him out to CC Hatchery but after what I read here, I don't want to. I would like to get a laying chicken, but need to find a home for our boy first. I would prefer to get a hen that is around the same age in hopes that it won't fight with our other chicken.

I don't have a photo of him at work but he looks exactly like the chicken linked below but with green feet.
