going to do some trapping on our deer lease. been getting a few coon and located a few nice otter and bobcat trails. hopefully get a few. I use # 1 1/2 long spring traps and use a variety of bait depending on the species. for coon it canned tuna and some marshmallows. I buy lures for otter and bobcat from a trapping supply store.

any of yall running a trapline.

My boys keep trying and failing, so in general they just hunt.

I have a bunch of the nicest squirrel pelts though. They have gotten so good at skinning that the pelts now have the ears and whiskers still on them.
 
What totally shocked me though (since I prefer to eat baby herbivores), is that Lynx is actually good eating.

You do have to cook it very well though, since Lynx can actually carry trichinosis, but it is good meat.
 
But I have major heebee jeebees over trichinosis, so we cooked for hours upon hours.
