I have a question...

I have a very long privacy fence in a L shape on my property. My parents replaced the fence so it is probably going on 10+ years and nothing has been done with it or to it since it's installment.

I am thinking I should treat it with some waterproof stuff.

It has slated boards...so if you were to go up to the fence you could stick your fingers in it and if you stood right up to the fence and looked sideways you could slightly see into the neighbors yard.

What would I use to treat it and how would I apply it.... knowing I have a limited budget?

And how often should things like this be treated?

Thanks for your input.

Sounds like a question for the Lowes or homedepot experts. I would guess a type of sealer or oil base treatment.

I just painted our deck and I would suggest finding something that you can spray on with a paint sprayer.

I was thinking a sprayer too would make it faster

wonder if someone in the church has something like that or if i could get some of the teens from the work camp to come out... they painted my living/dining/kitchen and pantry last year. that was really awesome.
