treatment for coccidia before results harmful?

As mentioned, the implant will stop egg production, it may help with the Salpingitis, but you may also want to have the Vet administer an antibiotic to help with any infection as well.
The Implants can last anywhere from 3-5months. I too have seen that in the U.S., folks are not finding a Vet willing to give the implant, there's liability and regulations involved I believe, so you may be limited on what type of care you can get.

I also let nature take its course. I will treat symptoms as they arise, offer supportive care and try to keep them comfortable while remaining with their flock until the time comes that they can no longer function, then I will put them down.
@Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive have an update for Ophelia: I sent a fecal and blood sample to UCDavis this week. I treated the flock for coccidia while the sample was being tested. everything came back normal, no worms or cocci.
The blood sample came back today. She has infectious bronchitis virus. that explains a lot with her and the other girls. 3 of her sisters are laying extra calcified eggs, but with good shells and yolk and albumen. It has been 4 weeks since Ophelia's egg laying has been abnormal. She is currently not laying at all, which is fine by me. So... I am very glad I gave her an antibiotic when this started. Her respiratory symptoms are gone and she has more energy. She is not out of the woods yet, but she is showing improvement. hopefully in another month her sisters eggs will return to normal. as for ophelia's eggs. hoping she doesn't lay eggs anymore. I believe her reproductive tract is damaged from this virus.

Thank you for the update.

I'm glad you were able to get some testing done.

You are correct, that IB can be a cause of Salpingitis, hopefully the antibiotics will help with the inflammation.
Most respiratory diseases do affect the reproductive system in some way, either by egg quality and production, hatchability rates, damage to the reproductive system, etc.

@Wyorp Rock I need some clarification because i am second guessing myself. she was taking baytril liquid for 4 days before she laid the first lash material. then I quit the baytril because she fights so hard and i got some in her trachea on the last dose. that was a week ago. she is now on meloxicam for the last week. that i can give in food. easy. she laid another lash material this morning. inside was liquid yolk material and albumen. should i give her baytril again for 5 days and meloxicam? I got the tablet form for baytril yesterday. she can stay on meloxicam for a long time correct? It is a NSAID. like ibuprofen. thank you for your help.

That looks more like an elongate soft shelled membrane, especially if it contained yolk and albumen. Lash Material is firm all the way through with layers of pus.

The Baytril may have helped reduced inflammation and helped her body to expel some of the lash material you found. If you completed the course, I'd wait a while and see if she expels more lash material or if she's able to expel another soft shelled egg, etc.

You're giving her some Calcium?

As for Meloxicam, that would be up to you. I don't give it, so can't say...You may want to ask your vet if they feel you need to extend the treatment period.
