treats and meat birds

I am a new be raising WR for meat and egg. My DH asked me the otherday what will the treat do to the meat? My chicks love youget, corn on the corn fresh from the garden, banana. That is all I have givin them so for. Trying apples today?

Tell him it makes the birds healthy. Chickens with a wide and varied diet are far better for eating than those raised on commercial feed alone.
